on paper, your podcast doesn’t sound that good (a bunch of guys talking at length about, often very niche, topics)…but i’m hooked! i’ve never even watched police academy, but i found the podcast about it very funny! anyway, i’m in england…it’s not that whacky, but you did say you were interested in hearing from non-americanos, and i is one. keep up the the pro-bono hobo work xxx

Hi Lary, Arse!

Great podcast, keep it up.
We’d love to hear it in the cloud, use the invite ‘richcloud’

Talking of copying ideas, I came across this other podcast. It has two American blokes, around 30, that talk about life in the U.S. and one has a beard. One difference, they don’t make me laugh.

Hey guys awesome podcast lol my ass off everytime!. Tom I was wondering if you could help me with an idea, see I’ve been trying to do favors for my friends in offer for their first born children. My plan is to tell the kids that their parents were killed by criminals and train them to be vigilantes, what do you say want to help me out. ;D. Again awesome podcast!

England Sean November 25, 2009 at 8:07 am

Hi there,
I am living in China at the moment, and in preparation for a long train journey I downloaded a series of your podcasts. I really liked them all!
After 3 hours however, I was becoming increasingly annoyed at Tom's over-use (and mis-use) of the word “like”! The fact that I kept on listening (and listening) shows that I really like the content.

But please…! please…! Don't say “And I was “like”…'whatever' because he was “like” shouting really loudly'”. I'm not a hater, but this is becoming an issue for me.

Thoughts….?

tomreynolds November 25, 2009 at 2:40 pm

Hey Sean. Thanks for listening. You're 100% right, saying “like” is a terrible habit I have both in the show and real life. We're recording a new episode tonight and I will instruct Tim to spray me with a water bottle if it happens again.

Okay guys…I've been through the back catalogue…I'm all caught up. I'd like to have a go at the gauntlet *insert sinister music here*

I'm an American Expat living in London (a slightly misplaced Southern Belle), and y'all have skirting around an issue for a long time…I'd like to hear a Complete Guide to Americans! I've lived all over the world and have come to realize either people hate us (one bad apple in a bunch, eh?) or they think we're all crazy! Crazy we might be, but there is a method to madness :) So an overview of our holidays, our family life, transport, cities, schools, etc… it would even be educational to hear what it is like to grow up a yankee…

If I win I want a prize…you get beer…the gauntlet winner should at least get a gold star :)

tomreynolds December 4, 2009 at 5:25 pm

I would like to hear a Southern American/British accent. I think my head would explode. Isn't every week a guide to Americans in some way?

aaron December 12, 2009 at 1:17 pm

You should do an episode about those idiots from the MTV show Jersey Shore. It would be funny to hear you rip on them.

alanfoley February 25, 2010 at 1:49 pm

Sometimes I get an erection when I listen to your podcast.

Greg Huth February 25, 2010 at 1:53 pm

I allow my wife to listen to this podcast, as long as she stays in the kitchen. I swear to you guys, if you make my sandwhich come even 1 minute late, I will terrorise your ass.

55yroldfanfromIdaho March 9, 2010 at 9:47 pm

Thanks guys! I work alone in a huge noisy office. To save myself from insanity, I bought an
IPOD, and downloaded music and some pod casts. Now my days are spent wiring telephone lines, and laughing hysterically. This is fine until someone walks into the office and sees me there all alone, in that condition. Instead of actually going insane, my coworkers now simply think I am.

sean30 March 17, 2010 at 5:38 pm

boomertl April 4, 2010 at 5:35 pm

Hey Tim and Tom

I have started my very own podcast, and its prob ten times cooler than yours. Not to say yours isnt awsome but come on, its me. If I sponsor your drinking habbit with two handles of your fav whiskey, can i count on a good plug from you?

quannoi April 9, 2010 at 2:19 am

Guys you are hilarious! Tim dude, you should have your own talk show. Why don't you guys come over and spend a while in the UK so you can bitch about it with more accuracy? Seriously, we Brits do nothing but bitch about ourselves and our country, but to join in you have to get it right. Why ridicule inaccurate stereotypes of the UK when there is such rich bullshit that you could get so much more mileage out of? Come to our wonderland of curmudgenliness and pale, porridgey skin!

Audrey May 13, 2010 at 8:26 am

Just started listening in April and have nearly caught up!
I've heard your voices in my ears so much that I now hear my inner thoughts as Tim and Tom! Creepy, right? Of course the creepier thing is that you're always mocking me…. Damn those voices in my head!

am I crazy?

Michael Calder June 1, 2010 at 1:17 pm

I just posted the following in the iTunes Store as a review… it will fit here as well:

I first downloaded this podcast by accident. It was the baseball episode. I was hoping to hear a little about my favorite sport. Being titled TCGTE made me think this was the right spot to possibly learn something. It took only a few minutes to realize that Tim and Tom know relatively little about baseball and might actually be impaired. Boy, was I right.

But the joke was on me. For some reason, I downloaded another episode… then another… picking and choosing episodes that might be interesting to me. Little did I know that the title of the episode has little to do with the content of the show. Eventually, I ended up subscribing to the podcast and am working my down through all of the episodes from last fall until now.

What should I do about this? What can you do to help me?

Debbie_floyd June 21, 2010 at 5:54 am

This is my favourite so far too. Especially the bit about putting a cave man in a suit and a briefcase under his arm. Hilarious.

Jandredesz June 22, 2010 at 11:45 am

Is there a link to a fund where we can contribute to the beer/whiskey fund?

Guest June 29, 2010 at 7:20 pm

Didn't you guys mention hearing Lenny Kravitz singing one of his own songs while you saw him at a store? You should have sung along; he would have liked it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBgZNINN6MU

Faith Smith July 7, 2010 at 6:40 am

Tim and Tom, your episode on Fast Food not only helped me out during a particularly grueling 17 mile run, but also meant I was well informed during my american roadtrip that I just got back from and managed to eat in pretty much every fast food chain that exists. However, I didn't trust you guys when it came to In 'N' Out Burger's secret menu. I couldn't decide if you were making it up or not and I knew I would feel pretty stupid asking for animal style in my English accent.

I'm now back in England and I'm pretty sure my insides are destroyed so I just bought a juicer through your Amazon link for my imminent detox. It was bloody expensive so I hope Amazon pay you well.

P.S. Why did all American's think we were Australian? Can you not tell the difference between the accents??? Aurally retarded.

Marc July 9, 2010 at 4:38 pm

you guys rock, keep up the good work!

Hi, I'm also a new listener from new jersey…not that that matters or anything. I downloaded this as soon as I saw it on itunes favorites list. Anyway thought I just wanted to say that I listen to your podcast every night before I go to bed, and its hilarious! Your podcast is a sure way to lighten up my day. Thank you guys for being so funny and talking about your life adventures.
